Chalk art paper, tools, UV bulbs, and cleanup supplies
Everything you need to go with your chalk. Paper for studio work, tools for blending and sharpening, soap for the inevitable cleanup, and the UV bulbs you’ll need if you’re using black light chalk.
Bogus paper
Blending and Sharpening
For softer surfaces like paper and smooth concrete, your hand is the best blending tool you’ve got. For rougher surfaces, you’ll want a blending block, a piece of outdoor carpet, a paintbrush, or a piece of foam. Sanding blocks sharpen the edge of a stick when you need a fine line.
Cleanup
For cleanup, dish soap works for general use. Hand soaps with pumice (like Gojo) work on pigmented stains. The best soap we’ve found is Kresto, which is made from walnut shells — it gets lecturer’s chalk off skin faster than anything else we’ve tried.
UV bulbs
Long-wave UV bulbs (365 nm) for use with our black light chalk. Not every bulb marketed as a “black light” is the right wavelength for chalk reveals — the ones we sell are the ones we use.
If you’re new to black light work, also consider black light safety glasses to protect your eyes during long presentations.
